KPK pauses graft probe into MBG program at BGN

KPK has temporarily halted its investigation into alleged corruption in the Makan Bergizi Gratis program at Badan Gizi Nasional. KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said the agency did not need to continue work at the investigation stage because Kejaksaan Agung had already launched its own inquiry and taken compulsory measures. KPK also left open the possibility of further coordination if needed. Earlier, on 3 June 2026, Kejagung named former BGN head Dadan Hindayana, former deputy head Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sanjaya as suspects. Kejagung suspects the former BGN leaders appointed foundations that did not meet requirements but were affiliated with them to run MBG or SPPG kitchens, and inflated the prices of goods and services procurement.
