KPK seizes LC 300, electronic evidence in Kuansing case

KPK seized documents, electronic evidence and a 2023 Toyota Land Cruiser LC 300 in the corruption and graft probe involving Kuantan Singingi Regent Suhardiman Amby. Searches were carried out on July 4-6, 2026 in Kuantan Singingi and Pekanbaru, covering the Regent's Office, the DPRD office, the Plantation Office, the private homes and official residences of the suspects, as well as one shipping company office. KPK said the vehicle was allegedly part of a bribe and was found at a vehicle storage warehouse in Pematang Siantar with its license plate already replaced. In further developments, investigators also suspect Suhardiman collected money from 914 KUD members to secure the release of about 1,828 hectares of forest area, then converted it into Singapore dollars before handing it in an envelope to Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni.
