Komisi XI approves PFII bill for DPR plenary on July 21
The draft expanded from 53 to 73 articles after talks on special courts, arbitration, tax incentives and a golden visa.
Komisi XI DPR RI and the government on Monday (20/7) agreed to send the Rancangan Undang-Undang Pusat Finansial Internasional Indonesia (PFII) to second-level deliberations, or the DPR plenary session, on July 21, 2026. The decision came after the working committee completed first-level discussions that began on July 2. Working committee chairman Mohamad Hekal said the draft changed from seven chapters and 53 articles to 10 chapters and 73 articles after reviewing 503 issue inventories. The bill regulates the establishment of an international financial center area, business activities, arbitration bodies, special courts, and facilities such as tax incentives, customs, golden visa, immigration, labor, licensing, residency, English-language use and foreign exchange.
