Febrie Adriansyah Files 2 Pretrial Challenges to Suspect Status
The separate lawsuits also challenge detention, searches, seizures and travel bans in the money-laundering case and the Asabri case.
Former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah has filed two pretrial motions to contest his designation as a suspect by Kejaksaan Agung and Polri. His legal team said the first motion will test the validity of Febrie's suspect status in an alleged money-laundering case and his detention by Kejagung. The second motion challenges the suspect designation in alleged corruption and money-laundering tied to the handling of PT Asabri cases for 2020-2024, along with searches, seizures, travel bans and the takeover of the case by Kortastipidkor Polri. The lawyers said there are fundamental problems with the investigation order, including an alleged double designation as a suspect for the same offense. They said the pretrial filings are intended to test procedure, not to avoid the legal process.
