Preparations for Aug. 14 MPR annual session reach 90 percent

Preparations for the MPR RI Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR RI-DPD RI on Friday, Aug. 14, have reached 90 percent. Acting Secretary General of the DPR RI Suprihartini said the three secretariats general of MPR, DPR and DPD are still refining the program through a dry run, then aim to be fully ready after a full dress rehearsal on Thursday, Aug. 13. The session is scheduled to start at 08.30 WIB at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, with President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka in attendance. Prabowo will present an account of state institutions’ performance at the MPR Annual Session, then deliver the Aug. 17 speech and outline development achievements at the joint session. At 14.30 WIB, the agenda will continue with a DPR plenary meeting for the government’s explanation on the 2027 RUU RAPBN along with the financial note. The committee is also coordinating traffic and road access around parliament.
