Garut wins top inflation-control award in Jawa-Bali

Garut Regency received the Pengendalian Inflasi Terbaik I award at the district level for the Jawa-Bali region in the Apresiasi Pemerintah Daerah Berprestasi event from the Kementerian Dalam Negeri. Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin received the award at the Grand Ballroom Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel on Thursday night, 4 June 2026, from House Commission IV Chair Siti Hediati Soeharto. The Garut administration said the achievement came from joint efforts by regional officials and the public to contain price swings. The effort was aimed at protecting residents' purchasing power so they would not be burdened by rising prices. The regent said the award was not the end, but a push to continue inflation-control innovation and strengthen the welfare of Garut residents.
