France seek revenge for loss to Spain in World Cup semifinal
New: Aurélien Tchouaméni is back available, while Kylian Mbappé remains fit for the match in Dallas.
France heads into its 2026 World Cup semifinal against Spain in Dallas with a chance to avenge two straight defeats to the same opponent. Midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery said the team wants to erase the painful memory of being eliminated by Spain 1-2 in the Euro 2024 semifinal. The two sides will compete for a place in the final on Tuesday local time, or Wednesday morning WIB, at Dallas Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Coach Didier Deschamps left open the possibility of one change by bringing in Aurélien Tchouaméni, who is available again after a muscle injury. Deschamps also eased concerns over Kylian Mbappé, who suffered an ankle knock against Morocco, and said the captain continued training.
