In Paris, Prabowo and Macron discuss Palestine, partnership

President Prabowo Subianto continued his state visit to Paris by meeting French President Emmanuel Macron and urging a two-state solution for Palestine. In his speech on Thursday (28/5), Prabowo stressed that peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved without justice for the Palestinian people. He also said he agreed with France on the importance of regional stability because it affects global energy and supply chains. Earlier, Foreign Minister Sugiono said the trip fulfilled Macron's delayed invitation and also served as a reciprocal visit after Macron came to Indonesia in May 2025. In Paris, Prabowo is scheduled to discuss stronger cooperation in defense, renewable energy, critical minerals, education, science and innovation.
