BGN bans MBG kitchens from using 3 kg LPG, MinyaKita, SPHP rice
As a result, oversight of 299 SPPG kitchens in Cimahi and Bandung Barat has been tightened to keep MBG menus free of subsidized goods.
The National Nutrition Agency has banned Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit kitchens from using subsidized goods for the Free Nutritious Meals program, including 3-kilogram LPG, MinyaKita, and SPHP rice. After the directive, the Bandung Regional Nutrition Fulfillment Service Office tightened oversight of SPPG kitchens in Kota Cimahi and Kabupaten Bandung Barat, West Java. Head of the Bandung Regional PPG Office Ramzi said SPPG operators must follow leadership policy and will continue to be reminded through regional coordinators and subdistrict coordinators. There are 73 SPPG kitchens in Cimahi, while 226 kitchens are operating in Bandung Barat to produce MBG menus. The policy ends the use of subsidized goods in producing meals for the government program.
