2 children charged after 6-year-old is shocked in Senen
Police said the assault stemmed from anger after the victim, an autistic child, was seen as disturbing them while they played a game.
Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat has charged two children in conflict with the law, ALR (17) and RM (13), in a violence case involving MWP, a 6-year-old boy who was shocked at RPTRA Taman Kramat Pulo, Senen. Police said the June 7 incident began when the victim, a child with autism, was seen as disturbing the two suspects while they were playing a game. Investigators found that one suspect held the boy's hand and the other held his legs, then guided his body toward a park lamp post and rubbed him against it several times until he fell unconscious. The victim was briefly treated in intensive care at RSCM and has since returned home. Investigators seized clothing and CCTV footage, and charged both under Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80 of the Child Protection Law.
