Komnas PA calls electrocution of 6-year-old in Central Jakarta criminal

Komisi Nasional Perlindungan Anak DKI Jakarta said the bullying of MWP, a 6-year-old boy who was electrocuted at Taman Kramat Pulo in Central Jakarta, has entered the criminal realm, not ordinary mischief. Komnas PA DKI Jakarta chair Cornelia Agatha called for firm handling to create a deterrent effect and serve as a lesson for other children. Komnas PA also raised concerns about park safety, saying a children's play area should be free of hazardous facilities. Separately, the victim's family rejected an attempt at reconciliation by one of the suspect's families and chose to pursue the legal process. The victim's father, Bella, said the child's condition remained unstable, with a high fever, low blood pressure and itching. On Saturday, the victim was referred to RSIA Bunda in Jakarta Pusat for further treatment.
