Wuling supplies BinguoEV Lite to GrabRentals, expanding EV fleet

Grab already operates more than 14,000 electric vehicles and is aiming to triple that number by the end of 2026.

Wuling Motors and Grab Indonesia are expanding their electric vehicle partnership with the handover of a fleet of Wuling New BinguoEV Lite units to GrabRentals in Jakarta. The cooperation is aimed at increasing the use of electric cars in app-based transportation services and strengthening Indonesia's low-emission mobility ecosystem. Grab Indonesia currently operates more than 14,000 electric vehicles across its business ecosystem, including GrabRentals, and is targeting a number up to three times higher by the end of 2026. GrabRentals Indonesia director Halim Wijaya said the rental scheme helps drivers who do not yet own a private car access EVs with lower upfront costs. Beyond supplying the fleet, Wuling and Grab are also preparing after-sales service, technical support, and training for drivers and mechanics.
