Widow files UK lawsuit against Singapore Airlines over SQ321 death

She is seeking damages after suffering serious spinal injuries when the London-to-Singapore flight dropped sharply over Myanmar and diverted to Bangkok. Court papers cited by British media show two claims from the family: one by Kitchen and another on behalf of her husband's estate. Records also show several other passengers pursuing legal action. A 2026 report by Singapore's Transport Safety Investigation Bureau found the turbulence was convectively induced; Geoffrey Kitchen died from heart failure and pulmonary oedema.
