White House says Trump is in excellent health after annual exam
President Donald Trump’s doctor said he is in excellent health after an annual physical, while advising more exercise and weight loss.
President Donald Trump is in "excellent health" and fully fit to serve, White House physician Capt. Sean Barbabella said in a memo released Friday after Trump’s annual physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Barbabella wrote that Trump, who turns 80 next month, showed strong cardiac, pulmonary and neurological function and scored 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. The memo said Trump weighs 238 pounds, up from his April 2025 exam, and was advised to improve diet, increase physical activity and continue weight loss. It also said slight lower-leg swelling linked to chronic venous insufficiency had improved, and bruising on his hand was consistent with frequent handshaking while taking aspirin.
