West Java Police uncovered 352 street crime cases and arrested 413 suspects in a joint operation running from June to August 2026. The results were announced at police headquarters in Bandung on Friday (7/8), led by West Java Police Chief Irjen Pol Pipit Rismanto and attended by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi. Seized evidence included 1,016 motorcycles, 12 cars, three firearms and hundreds of sharp weapons used in aggravated theft, robbery and motor vehicle theft cases. In the same operation, police also destroyed 9,128 nonstandard exhaust pipes. Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan said the Bandung city government would intensify joint patrols, CCTV coverage, street lighting and neighborhood watch groups to curb crime.
