Wang Yi Meets Luhut in Jakarta, Urges Chinese Investment in RI
The Aug. 20-22 visit also includes a Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue and the second 2+2 foreign and defense ministers meeting.
China Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with National Economic Council Chair Luhut Binsar Panjaitan in Jakarta on Friday, Aug. 21, to discuss the investment climate for Chinese companies in Indonesia. During the Aug. 20-22 visit, Wang also met Foreign Minister Sugiono at the Nusantara Building of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry and was accompanied by China Defense Minister Dong Jun. The trip includes the first Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue and the second 2+2 meeting between the foreign and defense ministers of Indonesia and China. Beyond energy and minerals, the cooperation talks also focused on green energy, artificial intelligence, the digital economy and biotechnology.
