Veda Ega starts eighth in Moto3 Malaysia qualifying

Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama will start the 2026 Moto3 Malaysia race from eighth after finishing there in the second qualifying session at Sepang Circuit on Saturday. The 17-year-old Honda Team Asia rider set a best time of 2 minutes 10.855 seconds and lined up in third row. Veda briefly dropped to ninth after returning to the pits with seven minutes left for motorcycle adjustments, but he regained eighth before the session ended. Moto3 world champion Maximo Quiles took pole position with 2 minutes 10.396 seconds. Brian Uriarte was second, while home rider Hakim Danish finished third.
