Usain Bolt has registered to play for Wythenshawe Vets FC, a veterans Sunday league team in south Manchester, according to the Football Association's Full-Time website. The eight-time Olympic champion from Jamaica appears on the squad list for the club, which plays in the Premier Division of the Cheshire Veterans Football League. Wythenshawe has built a high-profile roster of former top-flight players, including Emile Heskey, Antonio Valencia, Papiss Cisse, Joleon Lescott, Danny Drinkwater and Nedum Onuoha. After retiring from athletics in 2017, Bolt tried to launch a football career and briefly played for Australian club Central Coast Mariners in 2018.
