A US intelligence memo circulated among top Trump administration officials last spring identified a Chinese businessperson close to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang as an asset of China’s Ministry of State Security, according to people briefed on the matter. The memo said Alice Huang, an executive at Singapore-based Megaspeed, was recruited to gather information on Huang as Beijing sought insight into advanced US AI chips and possible leverage over Nvidia’s China sales. Republican leaders of three House committees have asked Jensen Huang to appear for a closed-door briefing later in November. Nvidia said it does not share classified information with customers or lobby at their request.
