US intelligence assessed that a Singapore-based executive with ties to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang was working for China’s Ministry of State Security, according to a memo circulated among senior Trump administration officials last spring. The executive, Alice Huang of Nvidia customer Megaspeed, was allegedly recruited to gather information on Huang as Beijing sought insight into advanced US AI chips and possible influence over sales to China. The matter has drawn congressional attention: Republican leaders of three House committees asked Huang to appear for a closed-door briefing later in November. Nvidia said it does not share classified information with customers and said its CEO’s interactions with Alice Huang were routine.
