Unair trains Parigi Moutong chicken farmers to boost egg output

The Airlangga University Patriot Expedition team trained layer chicken farmers in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi, to raise egg production while reducing livestock deaths from disease. The assistance was carried out in four villages, with a focus on coop management, feed, sanitation and business record-keeping. The team also introduced the use of local ingredients such as small fish, corn and bran as alternative feed so farmers would not rely on factory-made feed. As a follow-up, the team prepared three guide modules on fish meal processing, native chicken management and coop biosecurity. The training took place in Tinombala Jaya Village, Palapi Village, and involved the Ongka Malino and Taopa areas.
