Ukraine hits more Wildberries sites as drone campaign disrupts Russia

Ukrainian drones struck more Wildberries logistics sites overnight, setting off fires at facilities in Penza and Sarapul and forcing evacuations as Kyiv widened attacks on Russia’s biggest online retailer. Regional officials said one person was injured in Penza, where about 200 people were evacuated, while Wildberries said staff at Sarapul left before the strike and deliveries were rerouted.
The attacks are part of a broader campaign that has hit around a dozen Wildberries sites since July 18, including warehouses in Ryazan and other regions. Wildberries and local officials say recent strikes have destroyed or damaged goods, disrupted the company’s distribution chain and wiped out about 10% of its storage capacity. Ukraine has framed such long-range drone strikes as a way to weaken Russia’s war effort and pressure Moscow by bringing the costs of the war deeper into Russia.
