UI holds 191st in QS 2027, remains Indonesia's top campus
UI is the only Indonesian university in the global top 200, helped by strong employer reputation and international faculty ratio.
Universitas Indonesia held 191st place in the QS World University Rankings 2027 and remained the highest-ranked campus in Indonesia. The list released by Quacquarelli Symonds on June 18, 2026 placed UI as the only Indonesian higher education institution in the global top 200. Regionally, UI ranked 47th in Asia and 8th in Southeast Asia. Its performance was supported in part by Employer Reputation of 87,4, Employment Outcomes of 81,0, and International Faculty Ratio of 88,4. UI Rector Heri Hermansyah said the result is a foundation to strengthen the university's international contribution, not an endpoint. In the ranking that covers 1.504 higher education institutions, UGM was the closest Indonesian campus at 206th in the world.
