Donald Trump secretly switched from Air Force One to a smaller military C-32A as he departed Ankara, Turkey, after last month's NATO summit. The Washington Post reported that the move was carried out through a container or catering truck as part of a security operation, while the press pool and some White House staff were led to believe he remained on the larger aircraft. According to the report, an assassination threat from Iran prompted a change in Trump’s flight plan to England. The C-32A carrying him landed first at RAF Mildenhall, followed minutes later by the old Air Force One. Attention also turned again to the modified Boeing 747 from Qatar, which has not been fitted with defenses comparable to the former presidential aircraft, including an anti-missile system.
