Trump returns to correspondents' dinner under tighter security

President Donald Trump is set to attend the rescheduled White House Correspondents' Association dinner on Friday, nearly three months after a shotgun attack outside the original event forced its cancellation. The annual press gathering has been moved from the Washington Hilton to the Waldorf Astoria in Washington and will take place with tighter security and fewer guests. The WHCA plans to honor Secret Service officer Victor Gonzales, who was shot in his protective vest at the April 25 security checkpoint, as well as Hilton staff who helped guests. The suspect, Cole Allen, pleaded not guilty in May to charges that include attempting to assassinate the president.
