Trump Media launches $100,000 feed for early access to Trump posts

Why it matters: Democratic senators urged the SEC to investigate whether the service gives paying traders an unfair market edge.

Trump Media & Technology Group on Friday launched Truth API, a paid data service that gives clients faster access to Truth Social posts from President Donald Trump and other major accounts. CNBC and NPR reported the service can cost as much as $100,000 a month and is aimed at trading firms seeking an edge when Trump posts move markets. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn described it as a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform’s most market-moving posts. The launch quickly drew scrutiny because Trump often uses Truth Social to preview policy decisions and comments on global affairs. Sens. Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate whether the offering breaks securities law.
