Tanjung Sekong LPG terminal supplies 35-40% of national demand

The Cilegon facility serves 63 regencies and cities and moves more than 200,000 metric tons of LPG a month.

The Tanjung Sekong LPG Terminal in Cilegon, Banten, is one of the main nodes in Indonesia's LPG supply chain, accounting for about 35-40% of the country's needs. The Pertamina-owned facility distributes to 63 regencies and cities in Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah and Sumatera Selatan. During a visit to the terminal, PT Pertamina (Persero) President Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan stressed the importance of reliable operations, especially workplace safety and smooth distribution. The terminal, which has operated since 2012, has a storage capacity of 98,000 metric tons, supported by three docks, and throughput of more than 200,000 metric tons per month. Pertamina is also pushing real-time stock monitoring, shorter vessel docking times and a review of low-emission energy options for terminal operations.
