Tadej Pogacar won the 2026 Tour de France and matched the five overall titles held by Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault and Miguel Indurain. The UAE Emirates XRG rider sealed the title after completing the 88,7-kilometer final stage in Paris on Sunday. Pogacar posted a total time of 73 hours 56 minutes 26 seconds, nearly six and a half minutes ahead of his closest rival, Belgium's Remco Evenepoel. Dutch rider Mathieu van der Poel won the closing stage in 1 hour 58 minutes 49 seconds. Organizers delayed the start and shortened the final route after wildfires in southwest France forced security personnel and police to be reassigned to firefighting efforts.
