Swedish court jails man 4 years for coercing wife into sex with 120 men

What's new: The court also convicted 28 sex buyers and ordered the man to pay the woman 200,000 kronor in damages.

A district court in Härnösand sentenced a 61-year-old man to four years and five months in prison after finding he forced his wife to provide sexual services to more than 120 men in Sweden. Judges convicted him of aggravated pimping, attempted rape, assault, unlawful threats and a minor drug offense. The court found he started the prostitution scheme, ran most of it and controlled the woman through threats, surveillance cameras and the isolation of their farm in Kramfors. Prosecutors said the abuse ran for about three years and ended after she escaped and went to police in October 2025. The court dismissed eight rape counts, saying it could not prove involuntary participation in seven incidents or establish the acts in one case.
