Suspect in killings of 5 in rural Oregon found dead in Washington

What's new: Authorities say there is no ongoing threat, but investigators still have not identified the victims or disclosed a motive.

A 36-year-old man identified by authorities as the suspect in the killings of five people at a rural Oregon property was found dead Sunday in Enumclaw, Washington, in what investigators believe was a suicide. The five bodies were discovered Saturday near Forest Grove, about 30 miles west of Portland, after deputies responded to a report of a vehicle fire, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said. Investigators also found several dead domestic animals at the property. Authorities identified the suspect as Benjamin Charles Parker and said they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. Officials have not released the victims' names, ages or genders, and have not described Parker's connection to them or a possible motive.
