KRL station, JIS Ancol footbridge open in North Jakarta
The Pink Line link expands KRL access to the stadium area from Jakarta Kota and Tanjung Priok stations.
Jakarta governor Pramono Anung Wibowo and Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi inaugurated the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) KRL station and a pedestrian bridge linking the stadium area with Ancol in North Jakarta on Monday. The station is part of the Pink Line and can be reached by KRL Commuter Line users from Jakarta Kota Station and Tanjung Priok Station. Pramono said the new connectivity is important to revitalize North Jakarta and encourage more regular use of JIS for matches, concerts and other events. He asked that the stadium no longer sit idle for months after one or two events. Dudy said the project is an example of coordination between the central government and the Jakarta provincial government in developing integrated public transportation.
