Stach’s 88th-minute free kick lifts Leeds past Forest 1-0
What's new: The goal spoiled Oliver Glasner's debut as Nottingham Forest coach in the clubs' Premier League opener.
Anton Stach curled in an 88th-minute free kick to give Leeds United a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, handing Oliver Glasner a defeat in his first match in charge of the home side. Leeds looked the more dangerous team for much of the Premier League opener and had a debut goal by Harry Wilson ruled out for offside in the first half. In the second, Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels kept the game level with a strong save from a header by debutant Tarik Muharemovic. Forest introduced Xaver Schlager late and left Ousmane Diomande on the bench, but failed to find a response after Stach's winner.
