Spain beat France 2-0 to reach first World Cup final since 2010
What's next: Spain will face either Argentina or England on Sunday, while France drop into Saturday's third-place match.
Spain advanced to the World Cup final with a 2-0 semifinal win over France on Tuesday in Arlington, Texas, ending Les Bleus' title bid with a controlled display. Mikel Oyarzabal converted a 21st-minute penalty after Lamine Yamal drew a foul, and Pedro Porro added the second in the 58th minute. Spain, the reigning European champion, kept France's attack quiet, limiting Kylian Mbappe and company and posting another clean sheet. The result sends Spain to its first World Cup final since its 2010 triumph. France, a champion in 2018 and runner-up in 2022, will play in the third-place game against the loser of the other semifinal.
