Sjafrie convenes Satgas PKH at Kemhan; TNI chief, attorney general attend
The closed-door meeting came as the executive chair post remained vacant after Febrie Adriansyah was named a suspect in a corruption case.
Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin gathered the Task Force for Forest Area Enforcement, known as Satgas PKH, at the Defense Ministry office in Central Jakarta on Monday (13/7). The Satgas PKH meeting was held behind closed doors and was attended by TNI Commander Agus Subiyanto, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin, TNI Chief of General Staff Richard Tampubolon, BPKP head Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, and spokesman Ambarita Simanjuntak, among others. Satgas PKH was established under Presidential Regulation No. 5 of 2025 to crack down on illegal palm oil plantations and mining and to secure state assets worth trillions of rupiah. Sjafrie now serves as head of the task force's steering committee. The executive chair was previously held by Febrie Adriansyah, the former junior attorney general for special crimes who is now a suspect in an alleged corruption case involving coal governance.
