Singapore police search for driver who fled Sengkang crash

Singapore police are trying to find a driver who left the scene after a crash in Sengkang early Aug. 27. Police said they were alerted at about 6:20 a.m. to an accident on Sengkang East Road toward Buangkok Green. The car was believed to have skidded, and no injuries were reported. Photos shared online showed the damaged car on a traffic island with part of the area cordoned off, while a traffic light appeared to have been knocked down. The site is near Sengkang General Hospital and the Sengkang Neighbourhood Police Centre. Police said the driver had gone before officers arrived and that investigations are ongoing. The traffic light was repaired later that day.
