Singapore police arrest 36-year-old after Bendemeer crash injures 2

A 36-year-old man was arrested after a car and a ComfortDelGro taxi crashed near Bendemeer MRT station in Singapore on Tuesday morning, injuring two people and shutting part of Kallang Bahru for nearly four hours. Police said the man left the scene before officers arrived after the 8 a.m. collision. A 60-year-old taxi driver and his 43-year-old passenger were taken conscious to Raffles Hospital. Officers later recovered suspected drugs, drug paraphernalia, vaporisers and a knuckleduster from the car. The man was arrested the same day on allegations including driving under the influence of drugs, driving without a license, dangerous driving, possessing a scheduled weapon and suspected drug-related offences. Investigations are continuing.
