Singapore police arrest 29-year-old after drugs, weapons found in van

Police in Singapore arrested a 29-year-old man after finding him asleep in the driver's seat of a van in Yishun and allegedly in possession of suspected drugs, a vaporizer and offensive weapons. Officers responded to a call for assistance at Block 333 Yishun Street 31 at 5:05 a.m. on Aug. 13, then woke the man and searched the vehicle. Police said they found items including knuckledusters and karambits, and arrested him for possession of offensive weapons, driving while under the influence of drugs, and suspected drug- and vape-related offenses. The drug case was referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau, while vape-related matters were sent to the Health Sciences Authority. The van bore LoadUp Singapore branding, and the company said it was investigating.
