Singapore family searches for 20-year-old who flew to Cambodia

What's new: police confirmed she left Singapore on July 28, and her family fears online scammers lured her to Phnom Penh.

A 20-year-old Singaporean woman has been reported missing after her family discovered she had flown to Cambodia and could no longer be reached. Siti Aishah Siregar Sahat Siregar last messaged her mother on July 28 saying she was going to school, relatives told local media. Later that day, her family found her WhatsApp and Telegram accounts deleted, her phone inactive and her passport missing. They then found a flight itinerary showing travel to Cambodia, with one report saying Phnom Penh. Her brother also said emails showed she had transferred hundreds of dollars to an unknown person tied to an online gaming contact. Singapore police said reports were filed, investigations are ongoing and officers are assisting the family.
