Singapore exam board found no mismatch in O-Level oral prompts

What's new: SEAB said about 5,000 candidates took the July 15 English oral exam and all were graded under the same rubrics.

Singapore's exam board said its investigation found no mismatch between the O-Level English oral questions shown to candidates and those seen by examiners on July 15, after online posts claimed some students faced different prompts. The Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board said one version of the exam video and questions was released through its e-Examination system to all centers, with checks before each session to verify the correct content was displayed. About 5,000 candidates sat the exam that day. SEAB said some online commenters later acknowledged they had initially misread the prompts. The oral component counts for 20% of the final English grade and includes preparation and spoken interaction segments.
