Singapore drug raids net 81 suspects, seize S$105,000 in narcotics

Singapore's Central Narcotics Bureau arrested 81 suspected drug offenders in a four-day islandwide operation from Aug. 17 to 21 and seized more than S$105,000 worth of drugs. The haul included about 529g of methamphetamine, 375g of heroin, 27g of cannabis, 10g of ketamine, 10g of Ecstasy and 11 Erimin-5 tablets. In one case near Punggol Field, officers arrested a 38-year-old man and then forced their way into a unit after occupants refused to open the door. Four more people inside and another woman who later returned were also arrested. CNB said the unit held 439g of meth, 300g of heroin and other drugs, while police also took dagger, knuckledusters, katanas and knives for separate investigation.
