Yayasan dispute exposes 995 weapons at Jaksel school
The management dispute has moved to PN Jakarta Pusat, while the former chief's camp says the airsoft guns were licensed since 2020.
A dispute over the management of a private school foundation in Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, is said to have led to the discovery of 995 weapons on school grounds. Foundation lawyer Hermawanto said the new management was only able to open several rooms after dismissing the former board chairman, then found items believed to be prohibited. Police earlier seized 995 airsoft guns, four air rifles, one Francispa-brand firearm and four long-gun barrels from the foundation's warehouse. In further developments, police also found three more airsoft guns. On the other side, lawyer for IWD, Alhadid Endar Putra, said the foundation dispute is still being heard at the Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat and claimed the 995 airsoft guns were legal and had been stored since 2020 for shooting extracurricular activities.
