Kediri School for the Poor enrolls 248 new students
The school also has 99 first-cohort students now in grade XI, while Pemkab Kediri has added 20 teachers for elementary and middle school.
Sekolah Rakyat Terintegrasi I Kabupaten Kediri will begin the 2026/2027 school year with 248 new students from families in extreme poverty, including 23 elementary students, 107 middle school students, and 118 high school students. Kediri Regent Hanindhito Himawan Pramana inspected MPLS and an open house at the new building in Kecamatan Plosoklaten on Tuesday, 14 July 2026.
The program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto provides access to formal education and free boarding for children at risk of dropping out. Principal Fadeli said Sekolah Rakyat Kediri also accommodates 99 first-cohort students who are now in grade XI of high school. He said Pemkab Kediri, through the Education Office, supported the school land and added 6 elementary homeroom teachers, 1 PJOK teacher, and 13 middle school teachers.
