Coalition party secretaries gather at Sugiono's home before RI Day

Several secretaries general from parties supporting the government gathered at the home of Gerindra Party Secretary General Sugiono in the Widya Chandra area of Jakarta on Thursday night, ahead of the 81st anniversary of Indonesia's Independence Day and the 2026 annual MPR session. The meeting was described as a gathering to mark Independence Day and to reflect on nearly two years of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration. Those present included Golkar Secretary General Muhammad Sarmuji, PKB Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid, Demokrat Secretary General Herman Khaeron, PAN Secretary General Eko Hendro Purnomo, PKS Secretary General Muhammad Kholid, and NasDem Secretary General Hermawi Taslim, as well as PSI, Partai Gelora, PBB, Partai Garuda, and Partai Rakyat Adil Makmur. CNN Indonesia reported that the PPP secretary general did not attend because of a scheduling conflict.
