A Russian double-tap drone strike killed at least 16 people and wounded more than 130 at a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian officials said, in one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in recent days. The attack hit President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's hometown in central Ukraine, and officials said a second drone struck about 30 minutes after the first, targeting the scene as rescuers responded. Several victims remained in serious condition, and early Saturday authorities said people were still missing as crews cleared the rubble. The strike came a day after a major Russian missile attack killed 17 in Kyiv, underscoring an escalation in cross-border attacks as the war nears its 4 1/2-year mark.
