Russia threatens Britain after UK-made drones struck targets inside Russia

Why it matters: The report ties British equipment to deep strikes that Moscow says caused major economic damage and could widen tensions.

Russia threatened Britain after reports and a British military source confirmed that UK-made drones supplied to Ukraine were used in attacks on targets inside Russia. Moscow's embassy in London accused Britain of escalating the war and warned it would “pay” for deeper involvement. The BBC reported the drones, built by two British companies, were used against military and industrial sites, including warehouses linked to Wildberries and a fuel depot in Rostov region's Kamensky district. Britain's Ministry of Defence responded that it would keep backing Ukraine against Russia's invasion. The Sunday Times said one manufacturer is a BAE Systems subsidiary, while the second company was not identified for security reasons.
