Rosie O'Donnell's Kimmel debut revives long-running Trump feud
What's new: Filling in for Jimmy Kimmel this week, O'Donnell used her opening monologue to mock Trump and explain her move to Ireland.
Rosie O'Donnell used her first night as guest host of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to revive her long-running public feud with President Donald Trump. In Monday's opening monologue, O'Donnell joked that Trump disliked the ABC late-night show even before she took over the desk for Kimmel's summer break. She then turned to her relocation to Ireland, saying she left the United States in January 2025 after Trump's 2024 election victory and citing fears tied to Project 2025. O'Donnell also addressed Trump directly through the camera with a taunt, while much of the segment focused on stories from her new life in Ireland and comparisons with New York City.
