Real Madrid land Yan Diomande from Leipzig in €135 million deal

Real Madrid completed the signing of Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to €135 million, giving the 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger a seven-year contract through June 30, 2033. The Spanish club said the package includes €125 million up front and €10 million in add-ons, which would make it the biggest transfer fee in Madrid's history and a record for an African player. Diomande joined Leipzig from Leganés last summer and broke out in his first full European season, scoring 13 goals with 10 assists across all competitions. Paris Saint-Germain had also shown interest before dropping out of the race.
