Iran drone debris damages Bahrain home, injures child
Bahrain said it intercepted the drone, but debris fell in Hamad Town and Manama after Iran claimed a strike on a US base.
Debris from an Iranian drone damaged a house and injured an 11-year-old child in Bahrain after authorities intercepted the air attack on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Reuters reported that vehicles burned and several homes were damaged in Hamad Town and the capital, Manama, when fragments from the destroyed drone fell into residential areas. Bahrain's Ministry of Interior said the unmanned aircraft was intercepted successfully, but the impact on the ground still caused civilian casualties. Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, said it attacked a US base in Bahrain. The strike was said to have followed Iran's accusation that the US hit several locations in Jask, Sirik and Qeshm earlier the same morning.
