PSI Prepares to Bring Jokowi Into Party Structure

PSI is preparing to bring 7th President Joko Widodo into the party structure as chairman of the Advisory Council. PSI Advisory Council Deputy Chair Grace Natalie said the party is finalizing its organization down to the village and urban ward level so Jokowi can formally wear the PSI jacket and begin meeting the public. The overhaul is being carried out simultaneously in regions ahead of party verification next year. Grace said Nusa Tenggara Timur is one of the areas being prepared for Jokowi's early visit. Meanwhile, PSI DPP Political Affairs Head Bestari Barus said Lampung will be the first stop on Jokowi's tour to meet party officials from the provincial level to regency and city branches. In the PSI DPP structure for the 2025-2030 period approved on 9 October 2025, the chairman of the Advisory Council slot is filled by a figure with the initial "J".
