Paris Saint-Germain signed Lucas Digne from Aston Villa in the 2026 summer transfer window after activating his £8,5 million release clause. The 33-year-old France left back signed a three-year contract and returns to the club he represented early in his career. Digne left PSG in 2016 before moving on to Barcelona, Everton and then Aston Villa. In Paris, he is projected to compete with and provide cover for Nuno Mendes on the left side of defense. According to Antara, Digne is PSG's second major signing of the summer after Maghnes Akliouche. He could make his debut against his former club, Aston Villa, in the UEFA Super Cup in Salzburg on 12 August 2026.
